8:00 - 9:00    Kiss and Drop period

Children will be supervised by the educators as they engage in a range of indoor experiences, however they may not have their regular class teachers at this time.

9:00 – 9.15   Children move into their classrooms. Morning greeting and Circle Time

9:15-10.30   Outdoor or Indoor Play (classes alternate each term)

The children select from a variety of outdoor / indoor play experiences.  The program is changed on a regular basis by staff depending on the interest and needs of the individual children.  Inside play allows the children a selection of interest based experiences which include painting, collage, puzzles, dough, imaginative play, blocks, construction toys, books, writing, and varying table activities and games. Outside play provides interest based experiences that include gross motor, fine motor, and dramatic exploratory play.

10:30 Morning Tea.

10:45-12.00   Indoor or Outdoor Play (classes alternate each term)

12.00 – 12.45 Large Group learning experiences

The children participate in language, story, music, drama, dancing, singing experiences and discussion on interests. 

12.45 Lunch

1.30– 1.45 Relaxation

The children may be encouraged to relax by reading quietly, lying on the mats and engaging in quiet and calming activities. 

1:45 – 2:20       Outdoor/Indoor Play

Depending on the season/weather the children continue to choose either indoor/or outdoor activities.  Before it is time to go, the children and staff work collaboratively and co-operatively to tidy up/or pack away the equipment 

2:20– 3:15 Quiet/Table activities

The children engage with a range of activities with a focus on developing specific skills including fine motor (manipulative) skills, concentration and problem solving.

2:45-3:15 Home time

The gates will be opened at 2:45.  If you need to collect your child before this time please let the teachers know beforehand and just ring the bell when you arrive. Please ensure that you arrive by 3.15pm to pick up your child as all children must be off the premises by 3.30pm.
